Keeping up with the news related to your child’s education is challenging because of all the noise coming from so many places. Effective communication tools are the key to managing the non-stop flow. The PTSO works collaboratively as a liaison between school and community, and facilitates communication by organizing news and announcements in a friendly, clear and concise manner. The following communication tools are offered to the community as a service of the PTSO.

 

·         Directory Database for Newton North High School – The database maintained by the PTSO has been updated and is more comprehensive this year thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, including staff and students. This on-going system will keep the North database up-to-date, accurate, and sustainable.

·         Newton North Telephone Directory is over 150 pages, and includes faculty lists and cross references for different last names. One copy of the Directory is included when you pay your PTSO dues. Additional copies are available for purchase. Suggested dues are $40 and extra directories can be purchase for a suggested $15. Please pay what you can afford.

·         Newton North PTSO Website www.NorthPTSO.org where hundreds of notices are posted every month from school, PTO Council news, and the community. Notices are organized under categories. Under the NEWS menu, find: HIGH SCHOOL, NPS DISTRICT, and COMMUNITY news. Other categories exist for school information and family resources. The calendar posts PTSO related events. Navigate to the stories that interest you and don’t forget to use the SEARCH box on the right column. Going to the web site regularly is the fastest way to read the news or check the calendar for upcoming events relating to Newton North High School. This site serves as a complement to the Newton North High School web site: www.nnhs.newton.k12.ma.us/gov/
