Impact provides self-defense training at NNHS

Students in Ms. Courtney Albert's Sexuality and Health 2 class will be introduced to self-defense training provided by IMPACT on April 13. This program helps students improve their ability to respond to unsafe, uncomfortable, and potentially dangerous situations.  They learn verbal de-escalation skills and learn assertiveness and physical self-protection as a last resort. Part of the funding for the training will come from mental health monies raised by an Educational Excellence campaign in 2014-15.
