FORJ meetings planned for April 24, May 8

Parents/guardians are invited to the next two meetings of Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ). New participants are always welcome!

Tuesday, April 24, 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Angier Elementary. This evening will be focused on learning more about the METCO program in our schools. We are honored to have the new METCO CEO, Milagros (Milly) Arbaje-Thomas, and Newton METCO Director Maricel Sheets join us, along with parents and alumnae who will share their experiences and vision for METCO. We all benefit from the METCO program and this is a great opportunity to learn more and connect with each other.

Tuesday, May 8. We are planning to focus on learning more about experiences of being Muslim in Newton and how to address anti-Muslim comments and behavior. Watch this space for specifics.
