PTSO Vice President of Programming Elizabeth Reilly honored at graduation

Elizabeth Reilly--tireless parent volunteer, vice president of programming for the PTSO, and NNHS tour guide--was honored with the Principal's Plaque at graduation on June 6. Elizabeth has served in her PTSO position for six years. She has participated in approximately 42 PTSO board meetings and has planned 24 PTSO programs--researching topics, previewing speakers and movies, and gathering feedback to ensure quality. She has also helped with six Just Think: Teens Making Smart Choices expos. Elizabeth skillfully led the team that developed and ran the Newton for a Better World joint PTSO/School Council program in December 2017; the event attracted 300 teens and adults.

With her parent hat on, Elizabeth hosts team dinners for the girls’ track team (including doing almost all of the cooking!) and graciously welcomes any stray members of the boys’ track team who show up. She also helps with team fundraising. Elizabeth is revered for her reliability, humility, dedication, friendliness, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve the common good. Congratulations, Elizabeth!
