Donate winter items for homeless vets at NNHS by December 4

Students are working with the Center for Civic Engagement and Service to collect NEW clothing and accessories to help homeless veterans stay warm this winter. Please donate coats, hats, scarves, mittens, socks, and foot warmers. Place your items in the collection bins at Newton North, Day, and Bigelow, and in Newtonville, by Tuesday, December 4. Thank a homeless vet for serving our country, and help him/her stay warm in the snowy months to come.

TIP: Bring your items when you come to North for parent conferences (Thursday, November 29, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, December 4, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.).

All donated items will be taken to Congressman Kennedy’s Community Service Fair on Saturday, December 8, 1:00-3:00 p.m., at Newton City Hall. Citizens are invited to make care packages and write thank you cards to veterans. Click here to learn more about the fair.
