Boy Scout Troop 205 will host a blood drive on November 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the Bishop MacKenzie Center Parking lot, 1337 Centre Street, Newton, as part of an Eagle Scout project. Donations will benefit Kraft Blood Donor Services and patients at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The scout who organized the drive was diagnosed with leukemia when he was one; he is now more than 10 years cancer-free and in a position to give back.
Donors must be 17 years or older. Walk-ins are welcome, but those who wish to schedule an appointment may use this link: tinyurl.com/BishopMac2018. Donors will receive a Kraft Family Blood Donor Center blanket!
