Civics and trivia experts invited to friendly challenge on March 7, 6:00 p.m.

The Center for Civic Engagement and Service (CCES) and NNHS History Department invite families to a school-wide Civics and Trivia Challenge on Thursday, March 7, from 6:00-8:30 p.m., in the NNHS cafeteria. The event will include food, local dignitaries, and master of ceremonies Mr. Adam George! Tickets: $3/person in advance (see below); $5/person at the door.

Students (and friends/family) may sign up in teams of five during lunch blocks on Main Street from February 14-March 7.

Proceeds will benefit the Ty Vignone Scholarship Fund and the NNHS Center for Civic Engagement and Service. Both programs are made possible by donations from our community. The Ty Vignone Student Travel Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Ty Vignone, who taught in the Newton Public Schools for over 50 years. The Vignone Fund provides support to students in financial need who would like to participate in either the Close-Up or Prague Summer travel programs.

The NNHS Center for Civic Engagement and Service provides opportunities for every student at NNHS to engage in his/her community through advocacy, leadership and service.

Please support these programs by coming to the event or by donating! Sponsorships for this event are available. Contact CCES by phone at 617-559-6267 or by email at nnhs.ccesinfo@gmail.com
