Newton SEPAC presents "Mental Health in Children and Adolescents with Developmental Disabilities" on March 12, 7:30 p.m.

Join SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Education Center (100 Walnut Street) in room 217 for a presentation by Dr. Kerim Munir, MD, MPH, DSc, director of psychiatry at the University Center for Excellence, which is a division of Developmental Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Munir is also an associate professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Munir, a leading expert in psychiatry, will discuss the prevalence of mental health disorders among children and young adults with developmental disabilities and autism. He will provide data and recommendations to parents based on his research and experience in this field.
