NPS hosts community forum on vaping April 2, 2019, 7:00 p.m.

Newton Public Schools (NPS) invites parents/guardians to a community forum on vaping on Tuesday, April 2, 7:00-8:30 p.m., in the Newton South High School auditorium. Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, who has been at the forefront of state efforts to stem the growing epidemic of vaping among teens, will provide the keynote address. Writes Dr. David Fleishman, "Both in my professional capacity and my personal experience as the parent of two teenagers, I have been alarmed by the tremendous increase of vaping. This epidemic poses significant challenges for school districts and families and we need to work in partnership to address a phenomenon that took us all by surprise."

After remarks by Attorney General Healey, the evening will feature a panel of speakers who provide health, wellness, and prevention education on the topic of vaping. Go to NorthPTSO.org and look in the right column for more resources on vaping.
