Students plan Mental Health Awareness Day on April 11

Students are planning several sessions for Mental Health Awareness day on Thursday, April 11.
A Block: Minding Your Mind speaker

B Block: Families for Depression Awareness teen panel

Young adults from Families For Depression Awareness will share their stories, discuss how to recognize signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety, and explain how to get support. Teachers have signed up to bring their classes for this on-campus presentation in the Little Theater. Counselors, as always, will be available. Students may opt-out of the presentation with parental/guardian approval. If they are freshmen, they will be directed to the cafeteria. Email Alison Malkin, NNHS prevention/intervention social worker, with questions about this session.

C Block: "Beyond Silence" film screening

D Block: Jubilee songs + Read-Out/interactive discussion

E Block: Specialist panel (featuring your very own counselors and North/community professionals)

For questions about Mental Health Awareness Day, email Brendan Amedio, school counselor.
