Fundraisers & drives support student groups and local non-profits

Fundraisers or collection drives for groups affiliated with Newton North are currently seeking donations:

  • The Newton North Science Team is offering its annual leaf raking services to help fundraise for the team. This academic club at North participates in science and engineering competitions throughout the year. In order to pay for competitions and supplies, the team must fundraise. To schedule leaf raking, please contact Skyler Bohnert, club vice president.
  • On Fri., Nov. 22, Newton North and Newton South music students will perform a jazz benefit concert to support the Newton Music Ambassadors Scholarship Fund. All proceeds from the concert will provide Newton high school students with opportunities to travel and participate in festivals and competitions as well as financial assistance for private music lessons and summer music camps.   • Newton North students partnering with North’s Center for Civic Engagement and Service are conducting a clothing & toy drive for Cradles to Crayons. There will be collection boxes on Tiger Drive from Dec. 2 to Dec. 14, as well as students with boxes outside of the cafeteria on each of the parent-teacher conference nights: Thurs., Dec. 5 (4:00-7:00 p.m.), and Tues., Dec. 10 (2:00-5:00 p.m.) The most needed donations include new and lightly used clothing, shoes, books, and toys. The sizes that are most helpful are infant to adult medium.
