Open Volunteer Leadership Opportunities for 2020-2021:

At-Large Board Members (one-year terms, renewable):

Co-Director, Programs: (1 OPEN) - Join an existing co-chair. The PTSO puts on five all-school parent-focused programs each year.  Of these, three are curated by the Programs team.  The PTSO has a catalog of past programs and also welcomes your ideas regarding emerging themes of timely importance to parents.

Co-Director, Communications: (1 OPEN) - Join an existing team of leaders each overseeing communications subspecialties. The open position oversees the website content and communications (with other leaders responsible for weekly e-newsletters and photography/social media). 

Committee Chairs

Celebration 2021 Co-Chairs (2 OPEN): Lead a team that plans the post-prom party for NNHS seniors.  This position benefits from a cadre of annual volunteers who support sub-areas of this special evening.

Educational Excellence Campaign (1 OPEN): Join an existing co-chair to lead the annual check-writing fundraiser for teaching and learning experiences.

Just Think Expo 2021 Co-Chairs (2 OPEN): Lead the organization of a signature day/evening event for middle and high school students and families citywide, focused on health and wellness.  

Newton Serves at Newton North Co-Chair (1 OPEN): Co-lead Newton Serves volunteers in the one-day annual refresh of NNHS.  Projects determined by the school administration.  

NNHS Liaison to Safe Routes to School (1 OPEN): Lead Newton North's efforts around safe walking and biking to school.
