Hear mayoral finalists in second environmental forum on September 28, 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, September 28, at 7:00 p.m., come hear the two finalists in Newton’s mayoral race share their visions for addressing local environmental challenges over the next four years. Held at the Newton Free Library’s Druker Auditorium, the forum will be moderated by NewTV News Director Jenn Adams, who will ask the candidates a series of questions submitted by the program co-sponsors, Green Newton and the Newton Conservators.

This is a great opportunity to have lunch, make a few connections, and gather information and helpful tips about life at Newton North. Learn how to organize, where to go for help, and who is who at North.

Calling all 9th grade students to Tiger Advisory!

Tiger Advisory is a 9th grade discussion group that helps students connect to Newton North by providing information on all that our school has to offer! The group meets every Tuesday during first lunch in the International Cafe from October 3 through the end of April.

There will be Tiger guest speakers and visits from sophomore, junior, and senior students sharing their experiences with course selection, extracurriculars, and academic majors here at North. You will learn short cuts and tips for balancing your life at North this year and in the years to come.

College Nights to be held October 3 and 4, 6:00-7:30 p.m., at NNHS

The College and Career Center will host College Nights on Tuesday, October 3, and Wednesday, October 4, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., in the Newton North cafeteria. A list of colleges attending each night will be posted in Naviance in late September.

In addition, we are excited to announce that Financial Aid Night will take place after the College Night on Tuesday, October 3, from 7:30-9:00 p.m., in the Newton North auditorium. This is a great presentation by MEFA that will cover FAFSA, deadlines, and financing your student's education.

NNHS Information Booklet 2017-18, carefully compiled by the main office, contains many resources for families, including phone numbers; letters from the principal and House deans; school policies; information from the Athletics Department, Library Learning Commons, PTSO, and Newton PAC for Special Education; calendars; and even maps.
