Students plan talent show on April 7, 7:00 p.m.; PTSO covers pizza dinner

Newton North's Academic Support Program is sponsoring a student talent show on Friday, April 7, at 7:00 p.m., in the Little Theatre. All students are invited to audition on March 13, 15, and 16, from 2:30-4:00 p.m., in the band rooms. The sign-up sheet for auditions is posted outside Barry House.

See a sample of the acts in the homeroom announcements from March 29.

The PTSO will pay for a pizza dinner for performers and crew on the night of the show. Please enjoy these words of gratitude for parent/guardian donors.

Dear PTSO,

Thank you for agreeing to pay for our pizza dinner the evening of the Academic Support Talent Show.

Brian Rooney made an announcement today about the North PTSO’s generosity at our Special Education staff meeting; this brought applause all around.

Once again, thank you for all you support and generosity.

Best,

Jane

Learn about a semester abroad in China with Newton on March 6 (students) and March 14 (students and adults)

Newton's student exchange with the prestigious Jingshan School in Beijing, China, is currently accepting applications for the spring semester of 2018. This is an amazing opportunity to spend four months abroad while living with a host family, attending school in China, and traveling with Newton teachers to see spectacular Chinese sights. Students who travel in the spring usually host a student in the fall prior to travel.
