Join the PTSO and Newton North experts for a discussion of how to help your teen get the most out of his or her Newton North experience. Topics will include teen development and course selection. As school psychologist Dr. Steve Litwack famously stated, "It's all about the match between your student's interests and needs and what is offered at North." Speakers will include Amy Winston, vice principal; Tom Gwin, interim director of Career and Technical Education/Business; Todd Young, chair of the Fine and Performing Arts Department; and Kate McCarthy, chair of the Special Education Department.

Volunteer help needed for Faculty Talent Show supporting GELF

Volunteers are needed to help with the second annual Newton North Faculty Talent Show (February 9). More than 40 teachers and staff are hard at work preparing for an amazing evening of music, comedy, dance, and drama! All proceeds from the event will go to GELF, the Jennifer Price Global Educational Leadership Fund.

Newton South High School will host the Annual Teen Summer Program Expo. This event is FREE and open to the public. Find the perfect summer experience for middle and high school students. Meet directors of more than 60 enriching summer and gap year programs in the U.S. & abroad. Programs for every budget and every interest include academic, adventure, teen tours, community service, internships, sport instruction, language immersion, arts/theatre/music, STEM and college prep programs.
